On Dirt Day,we saw how water can make landforms. Erosion carried away sediment to make a canyon. The water made a river with winding meanders that carried sediment to make a fan shaped delta. Deposition is the process of sediment going down the river to make the delta.
In the ditch on top of the hill, we tried to make dams to stop the river from flowing.We hoped the water would fill the basin behind the dam to make a lake. But the slope was too steep. I learned that making a dam is hard work to do.
